Meet Carl & Nicole from Exotic Soirées - Luxury Marquee Hire! A local dynamic duo who we have had the pleasure of working and collaborating with. We featured one of their Luxury Marquee’s at our recent night market. The whole experience was effortless and made our event so so special. Over the past few months we have also worked closely with Carl & Nicole collaborating on the Freya range available in store at Trader Trove and for hire via Carl & Nicole. We love supporting and building strong connections with local businesses and are so excited to introduce this amazing team.
What motivated you to start Exotic Soirées? And tell us a little about yourselves?
As mentioned we are a wife and husband team! Carl’s background is in retail management and Nicole’s career was within the beauty industry. It all started when we were planning our daughter’s birthday, hoping to create a beautiful and practical party space in our back garden. So, we did our research and purchased our first marquee. It provided valuable shade (a necessity in the Queensland Summer) and the perfect solution if the weather turns! All our friends loved it and wanted to borrow it for their Arabian and Bohemian parties. So Exotic Soirees came to life.
What type of events inspire you the most?
Our greatest inspiration comes from the close connection we experience with nature and the outdoors. This is expressed through our work with amazingly creative florists and stylists who are part of the team we’ve formed for our installations.
Knowing that we have contributed in a unique and special way to our clients’ vision for their event makes our hearts sing and inspires us for the next event!
What has been your most memorable event?
Ooh it’s hard to choose. There are two particularly memorable events we’ve had the privilege of being part of – the first was one of Australia’s first LGBT weddings and all the extravagance that went with it. Secondly, supplying 13 luxury marquee installations for an international event being held on the Gold Coast for Queensland Tourism.
We have absolutely loved collaborating on our Freya range with you guys - How would you describe your vibe? Your style?
A little taste of the exotic with a modern bohemian vibe.
What is in the future for Exotic Soirées?
It’s been a whirlwind two years so far, and we’ve got big plans for the future. We are expanding into the Sydney event market. We also have some beautiful custom-made larger garden tents and marquees in the pipeline ready for our growing wedding clientele.
To say we’re excited for what’s to come is an understatement.
