Returns

At Trader Trove we encourage mindfulness when purchasing and we hope you’ll be completely satisfied with your product. 

If you do not like your items for any reason please email us at hello@tradertrove.com.au within 7 days to organise returning your items for 100% store credit or a monetary refund minus our 10% restocking fee.

PLEASE NOTE : ALL PRE ORDERS ARE NON REFUNDABLE.

Pre orders are made to order,  all sales are final and can not be refunded . 

 All items will need to be returned within 7 working days from the date your item arrives with tags still attached. Please note refund or store credit does not cover postage costs and the customer is responsible for all shipping costs involved with a return.

Trader Troves policy is 7 days since the day of arrival. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase has arrived, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

All sale items are final and cannot be exchanged or returned. 

To be eligible for a return or exchange, items must be unused and in saleable condition, with original tags attached. If you exceed 7 days, we are unable to offer you a store credit or exchange.

You will be responsible for the shipping costs of returning your item. 

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

We can only refund to the original payment method used to purchase.

To complete your return please mail your item/s to us and include a note specifying your order number, request for a refund/exchange and reason why.

Customers are responsible for shipping and handling charges to return any unwanted items. If the package does not reach us safely we will not be able to complete the refund, so we recommend customers use registered or traceable post.

Please allow 10 business days from our receipt of your item for us to issue a refund/store credit.

Trader Trove reserves the right to deny a refund or exchange of the item returned if it does not meet the requirements of our above returns policy.

Exchanges

We are happy to exchange items for change of mind within 24hrs of receipt of the item. If you need to exchange your item/s, please contact us at orders@tradertrove.com.au and let us know the item/s you wish to exchange for and post your unwanted order back to us by following the above instructions in our Returns Policy.

Due the nature of our unique one off range of wares, we cannot guarantee that your preferred exchange item will be in stock. Please note if we do not have your preferred exchange item in stock, we can offer a store credit to the value of your purchase (that can be used online or in store.)

Pre-Orders

Pre Orders may arrive later than expected as many variables are at play. If you have placed a pre-order this means we have allocated space in our container for your wares and have left space out for any other orders we may need. Refunds will only be processed if the item is faulty or damaged not for change of mind. All deposits are non-refundable but can be exchanged for a gift card.

Warranty + Faulty items

Trader Trove furniture warranty varies on many products,  however would like to be contacted in the case that a customer has a fault with a Trader Trove product. We care about our lovely customers and are passionate about facilitating an excellent customer experience, resolutions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

 The assessment of an item being "faulty" is at managers discretion pending proof of purchase. You will be responsible for the shipping costs of returning your item. Shipping costs are non refundable

 At Trader Trove we pride ourselves on sourcing items of quality, in the rare event that you have received a faulty item please email us at orders@tradertrove.com.au with photos and a full description of the fault so we can assess and arrange exchange of your item.

Faulty according to the ACCC is:

- Has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it
- Is unsafe
- Is significantly different from the sample or description
- Doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t be easily fixed.

Our Wares

The majority of products Trader Trove offers are handmade, one off, and some in vintage condition. Markings, colour differences and quirky natural worn character are a reminder of their authenticity which adds to the charm of owning pieces with soul and substance.

We endeavour to list all the character traits in the product descriptions but if you have any queries relating to this, please contact us at orders@tradertrove.com.au for clarification prior to purchase.

Gift Cards

Gift cards -  non redeemable for CASH and have a 12 month expiry. all gift cards purchased after November 2019 have a 3 year expiry, If a fault has occurred and your gift card has expired and you fall in these areas please contact the store.

SHIPPING POLICY

We offer variable shipping rates depending on the size and weight of your item. This will be calculated at checkout.

If it does not calculate please contact the store so we can help you as some items need a specialised Quote to ship it to you.

Gift Cards can not be used towards Shipping costs*

If you want to arrange your own Courier we are more than happy to help a $45 handling fee is applicable for these instances if packing of the item is required. 


Once you have placed your order please allow 3 - 4 days processing and you will then receive an email shipping confirmation including tracking number. On weekends and public holidays orders will be processed the next business day. If you have any issues in tracking your order please do not hesitate to contact our lovely team orders@tradertrove.com.au

If you are returning the item you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning or exchanging your item/s. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from the total. 

 

If you select Metro Shipping* this indicates withing a radius to a major area as we cannot cover some areas due to costs of shipping to these external areas.
If you Select Metro ship[ping for an area and the delivery address is deemed outside of Metro Areas you will be contacted to and may need to pay an additional fee. 

 

Lost or Stolen Items


Our policy stipulates that upon successful delivery of items, the responsibility for their security and condition transfers to the owner.

All delivered items are subject to the Authority to Leave (ATL) procedure by default, allowing our delivery personnel to leave the items at the specified address without requiring a signature.

This default ATL status will be applied unless otherwise stated by the owner through explicit instructions during the ordering process.

It is imperative for customers to provide clear and accurate delivery instructions, including any specific preferences or requirements regarding the handling of their packages. Once items have been delivered and comply with the agreed-upon delivery instructions, the owner assumes full responsibility for their safekeeping, and any subsequent issues, such as loss or damage, will be the owner's responsibility to address.

 

RUG SHIPPING POLICY

We will incur the cost of all rug shipping from our warehouse to your designated address. 

If you are returning the item you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning or exchanging your item/s. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from the total. 
 


SHIPPING BREAKAGES

 Although we pack all our items with care ensuring they arrive safe to you! We are not liable for any damages incurred once the item leaves our store during transport.

This is something you will need to follow up with courier or delivery company. 
Please report all breakages within 48hrs as most carriers have a policy to start a claim


This being said please provide all damages within 48hrs of receiving as we may be able to help with insurances with some carriers  

We cannot warrant any glass being shipped eg mirrors etc.

Price Increases - 2021/22

Unfortunately in response to a significant worldwide surge in production, materials, international & domestic transportation costs affecting our industry we will be implementing price increases necessary to maintain operating overheads.
