Each piece of mud cloth is so special and has a story to tell.

The arrangement and symbols on the cloth reveals something secret about the intended meaning, and this language of the cloth was passed down from mother to daughter. Traditionally, the men weave the cloth and the women dye it. Once the strips of woven cloth (usually cream coloured) are sewn together, the women follow a dyeing process.
